HRH Premier re-forms anti-smoking committee

Manama, Apr. 28 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa today issued Edict 28/2016 on re-structuring the National Committee to Control Smoking and All Types of Tobacco and Tobacco Products, under the chairmanship of the Health Minister. Members include Dr. Maryam Ibrahim Al-Hajiri (the representative of the Health Ministry), Muna Al-Sayed Kadhem (the representative of the Industry, Commerce and Tourism Ministry), Amna Hamad Al-Rumaihi (the representative of the Supreme Council for the Environment), Jassim Mohammed Al-Harban (the representative of the Edcuation Ministry), Abdulkareem Ali Abdulkareem (the representative of Customs Affairs at the Interior Ministry), Qais Hassan Al-Dossary (the representative of the Information Affairs Ministry), Nawar Abdulla Al-Mutawa (the representative of the Youth and Sports Affairs Ministry) and Majdi Bakri Yassen (the representative of the Anti-Smoking Society). Edict 14/2013 on reforming the National Committee to Control Smoking and All Types of Tobacco and Tobacco Product as cancelled. The Health Minister shall implement the edict which takes effect a day after its publication in the Official Gazette.
