HRH Premier receives academic Thai delegation

Manama, July 16 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa received at Gudaibiya Palace today an academic delegation from the Kingdom of Thailand, led by Prince of Songkla University (PSU) Vice-President Dr. Chutamas Satasook. He hailed the visit of the Thai delegation which epitomises strong and outstanding relations between the two friendly countries. He described solid ties of cooperation and friendship between Bahrain and Thailand and their perpetual growth at all levels as a reflection of mutual understanding and coordination. HRH the Premier underlined the need to broaden the scope of bilateral cooperation in the educational and health fields by exchanging more visits and meetings to share experiences. He praised the prestigious universities in Thailand and their highly qualified staff, calling to bolster academic cooperation between the universities in both countries in order to serve development. He also lauded the efforts of PSU in the graduation of qualified students. HRH the Prime Minister underscored Bahrain’s keenness to further upgrade the health sector and keep it abreast of the development momentum in Bahrain within the framework of a comprehensive system that is based on setting up more advanced medical establishments and availing of the experiences of pioneering countries in this field. He pointed out the government’s interest in boosting bilateral cooperation by encouraging the private sector in both countries to benefit from joint agreements. Dr. Chutamas Satasook expressed heartfelt thanks and respect to HRH the Premier for his key role in consolidating relations between the two friendly countries and cementing the Asian-GCC ties.
