HRH Premier receives ambassadors, praises 'North Thunder' drill

Manama, Mar. 29 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa has underlined the importance of stepping up coordination at the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Arab and international levels amid the current tensions and conflicts that pose a serious threat to everyone, and represent a danger that reared its head on countries' security and economic development. HRH Premier praised the creative initiatives that have consolidated Arab and Islamic stances, citing the "North Thunder" which was launched by Saudi Arabia to show a firm and united Arab and Islamic stance against the dangers of foreign interference into Arab countries' domestic affairs and terrorism which, he said, has become a threat the security and stability of the Arab Nation and the world. HRH Premier made the statements as he received at the Gudaibiya Palace today several heads of diplomatic missions of brotherly and friendly countries, led by the Kuwaiti Ambassador to Bahrain and the Head of Diplomatic Corps, Shaikh Azzam bin Mubarak Al Sabah. HRH the Prime Minister asserted that the world is currently going through unprecedented security and economic tensions, which, he emphasised requires vigilance and caution in dealing with them. HRH Premier stressed that regional and international cooperation on the challenges and tensions should be based on new formulae that protect the region's peoples against their impacts and ensure that the development process will not be affected by such developments. HRH the Prime Minister reiterated Bahrain's support to all efforts to promote peace and stability in the region so that its government focus on development and fulfill the aspirations of GCC and Arab countries in this regard.
