HRH Premier receives Arab ambassadors

Manama, Apr. 8 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa received at Gudaibiya Palace today Arab ambassadors and Heads of the diplomatic missions, led by Dean of the diplomatic corps in Bahrain Kuwaiti Ambassador Shaikh Azam Mubarak Al Sabah, who extended to him heartfelt congratulations on the discovery of a large resource of tight oil and deep gas. HRH the Premier stressed the positive impact of the major oil discovery on the Bahraini people and countries in the region, describing it as the dividend of the noble directives of His Majesty the King and the fruitful efforts of His Royal Highness the Crown Prince. He pointed out the government’s keenness on availing of the mega discovery to use its revenues for serving development and boosting citizens’ welfare. He also wished the upcoming Arab Summit every success, stressing that holding it in Saudi Arabia under the presidency of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques is itself an element of success. HRH the Prime Minister underlined the importance of the visit of the Saudi Crown Prince to the USA in opening up new horizons of bilateral and GCC cooperation with the USA. He voiced appreciation of the good feelings expressed by the GCC and Arab ambassadors after the discovery of the new oil field in Bahrain which, he said, is hoped to usher in a new phase of development for Bahrain and back the government’s ambitious plans to boost citizens’ welfare and further promote Bahrain’s elevated status. He also underlined the importance of the Arab Summit which will be hosted by Saudi Arabia this month, expressing confidence in the ability of Saudi Arabia, under the leadership of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, to make the summit meet the aspirations of the peoples in the region for security, stability and growth. HRH the Prime Minister expressed hope the next Arab Summit would further promote pan-Arab work and foster unity in facing various challenges. He commended the efforts of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and Saudi Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence HRH Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud in defending Arab and Islamic issues. He stressed Saudi Arabia’s tremendous efforts to defend the Arab national security, foster unity and ensure security and stability of the Arab countries amid multiple challenges. HRH the Premier hailed the current external tour of the Saudi Crown Prince which included visiting Egypt, the UK, the USA and France, stressing its success at all political, economic and military levels and in promoting Saudi Arabia’s influential role in making regional and international decisions. He asserted that the situation of the Arab nation requires rallying ranks and overcoming hardships, stressing the need for vigilance regarding the ongoing attempts to target the Arab nation. HRH the Prime Minister pointed out Bahrain’s keenness to enhance cooperation with all GCC and Arab countries at all political, economic and cultural levels, commending the efforts of the GCC and Arab ambassadors to strengthen ties binding their countries with Bahrain. The Dean of the diplomatic corps Kuwaiti Ambassador Shaikh Azam Mubarak Al Sabah extended heartfelt thanks and gratitude to HRH the Premier for his keenness to consolidate pan-Arab work, lauding his support to Arab unity as well as Arab and Islamic issues, including mainly the Palestinian one. He congratulated Bahrain on the new oil discovery, expressing hope it will support the kingdom’s development efforts.
