HRH Premier receives Health Minister

Manama, Sept. 16 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa stressed that a well-reputed Thai university's hosting of an information centre on the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Middle East  reflects the international interest in the kingdom's strides in various sectors. He said opening Khalifa bin Salman Information Centre at the Prince of Songkla University, in Thailand, to provide information about the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Middle East embodies success in boosting the kingdom's advanced international status and highlighting its development efforts and role in backing the efforts of brotherly and friendly countries to develop societies.  HRH the Premier was speaking as he receive at Gudaibiya Palace today Health Minister Faeqa bint Said Al Saleh who thanked him for deputising her to open the centre at Prince of Songkla University, in Thailand. She conveyed to him the greetings and respect of the university's officials for his initiative and support to set up the centre which will serve the students at the university with its five branches all over Thailand. HRH the Prime Minister thanked the officials of the university for the university's hosting of the centre and naming it after him in appreciation of his support to science and knowledge. He underlined the importance of cooperation in the academic field in solidifying relations between peoples, pointing out the role of science in nations' growth. He stressed Bahrain's keenness to bolster cooperation in the scientific fields with brotherly and friendly countries out of belief in the role of science in human development and civilisation. HRH the Premier underscored deep-rooted relations of friendship and cooperation between Bahrain and Thailand, describing the new centre as a symbol of solid ties between the two friendly countries and a reflection of common keenness to further cement them at all levels. He praised the pioneering educational role of Prince of Songkla University as one of the most glorious universities in Thailand. The Health Minister expressed heartfelt thanks and gratitude to HRH the Premier, lauding his tremendous support to promoting knowledge and boosting relations between Bahrain and Thailand through cultural exchange. She pointed out that the inauguration ceremony of the centre represented a good opportunity to show the Thai people's respect to HRH the Prime Minister for his distinguished efforts to build strong relations between both countries. It also underlined the high international status of HRH the Premier and his role in building strong and balanced relations between Bahrain and the rest of the world, the minister added.
