HRH Premier stresses MPs' national role

Manama, Mar. 7 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa has stressed that MPs are the partners to the government and monitors of its action, affirming the government's unwavering keenness on ensuring their national role and optimising the landmark national democratic gains. HRH the Prime Minister highlighted the need to open up new horizons of Executive-Legislative cooperation regarding efforts to serve the citizens and fulfill their needs, stressing that the Council of Representatives is an essential partner in every national action. "The strength of such partnership stems from that fact that MPs are the representatives of the Bahraini people, the ultimate goal of all achievements attained by the kingdom" he explained. HRH Premier was speaking as he received at the Gudaibiya Palace today the Chairman of the Shura Council Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh, MPs, Shura members and senior state officials, in the presence of former Speaker Khalifa bin Ahmed Al-Dhahrani. HRH the Prime Minister urged to deal seriously with the economic developments, calling on everyone to assume their national responsibilities in pushing the development process further. He called for concerted efforts to revitalsie the national economy to strengthen it and protect it against the negative impact of the global economic situation. HRH Premier affirmed that the economy tops the government's agenda, highlighting the government's vision to attract investments and streamline procedures for businessmen and investors. The audience voiced pride in HRH Premier's crucial role in enhancing Executive-Legislature cooperation. They also praised the Premier's constant follow-up on the economic developments and efforts to achieve sustainable development.
