HRH Premier thanked by Al-Hurr

Manama, Apr. 20 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa has received a cable from the Chairman of the Executive Council of the Bahrain Free Labour Unions Federation (Al-Hurr) Yaqoob Mohamed Yousif. Yaqoob Mohamed Yousif extended, on behalf of Al-Hurr Executive Council, sincere thanks and deep gratitude to HRH Premier for his constant keenness to fulfill the needs of Bahraini workers. He also voiced pride in HRH the Prime Minister's meeting with Al-Hurr Executive Council members, noting that the audience was an opportunity to be informed about the Prime Minister's directives on ways to strengthen the role of the Bahrain Free Labour Unions Federation as a representative of Bahraini workers, and enable it to play a pivotal role in the kingdom's sustainable development process. All the affiliates of Al-Hurr value highly HRH the Premier's constant interest in meeting the aspirations of their trade union for the common interests of Bahraini workers, he said, pledging that Al-Hurr will always support the policies and programmes to develop the investment atmosphere in the kingdom to make it more attractive for local and foreign investments. Yaqoob Mohamed Yousif affirmed that Al-Hurr will do its utmost to distance the trade union work from politics to achieve real gains that interest workers. Al-Hurr has always affirmed the need to keep labour affairs within the professional level, away from polarisation or sectarian conflicts, he said, adding that Al-Hurr focuses most and foremost on enhancing the rights of workers, increasing productivity and improving the work environment. He also pledged that Al-Hurr will always counter efforts to tarnish the image of the kingdom and its workers, and spare no effort to highlight the landmark achievements attained by Bahraini labourers thanks to the leadership.
