HRH Premier, Tunisian President hold key talks

Manama, Jan.27(BNA): His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al-Khalifa held talks with Tunisian President Beji Caid Essebsi on deep-rooted fraternal relations binding the two countries.
The two leaders stressed the importance of strengthening Arab cooperation and consolidating pan-Arab security to withstand the challenges and threats confronting the Arab region as the world goes through a period of political and economic instability.
HRH the Premier welcomed President Essebsi, wishing the Tunisian leadership, Government and people further progress and prosperity.
He hailed strong bilateral relations in all fields, affirming Bahrain’s keenness on developing economic, trade and investment cooperation to reflect deep-rooted fraternal ties.
HRH the Premier commended the Tunisian stances towards Arab causes as well as its support to all that contributes to maintaining regional security and stability.
He reiterated Bahrain’s support to Tunisia to maintain its security and stability and said that the current security and political challenges require stronger Arab cooperation so as to achieve people’s aspirations to development.
HRH the Premier and the Tunisian President discussed issues related to joint cooperation, in addition to regional and international development.
President Essebsi expressed thanks to the King, Government and people of Bahrain for the warm welcome and good hospitality, hailing steadily-growing relations on all levels.
He stressed his country’s keenness on strengthening joint cooperation and hailed Bahrain’s development strides, paying tribute to its wise leadership and strong-willed people.
He thanked the Government and people of Bahrain for the facilities they provide for the Tunisian expatriate community which, he said, reflects strong ties.
HRH the Premier hosted a dinner banquet in honour of President Essebsi and the accompanying delegation, in the presence of the Council of Representatives Speaker, the Shura Council Chairman and other senior officials.
