HRH Premier urges concerted efforts to maintain security, stability

Manama, Apr. 24 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa has urged concerted efforts by all Bahrainis to maintain the nation's security and stability. He stressed that thanks to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa's leadership and directives, the determination of the government and unity of the people, the kingdom has managed to overcome all challenges whose repercussions, including anarchy, instability and displacement of people, are affecting many countries. "We should draw many lessons, not only one, from the situation we had gone through regarding the importance of preserving the nation's security and stability, and the need not to allow those who seek to distract us from development and progress to implement their plans," he said. HRH Premier made the statements as he received at the Gudaibiya Palace today some Royal Family members and senior state officials, in the presence of the Sudanese Ambassador to Bahrain Abdulrahman Khalil Ahmed. HRH the Prime Minister asserted that Bahrain has been –and will remain- a strong supporter of peace and all efforts aimed at achieving rapprochement among peoples. "We hold no hostility towards anyone. We do not interfere in the affairs of others, and we do not want anyone to meddle in ours," he said. Tackling regional issues, HRH Premier stressed the GCC leaders' sound policies of rallying together in facing external interference on the domestic affairs of their internal affairs, which, he said, has strengthened the ability of GCC countries to safeguard their security and stability, and proved that any attempt to subvert their security and stability is doomed to fail. HRH Prime Minister Prince Khalifa lauded the role and solid stances of Saudi Arabia, under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, in defending the Arab and Islamic nations, stressing that Saudi Arabia is the protective shield of the Nation and supporter in confronting all challenges and circumstances. He called for the need to examine what is going on in many countries around us, whose peoples are suffer cruel displacement, and fleeing form wars and fighting which, he stressed, has resulted in those countries going backwards many decades. HRH Premier also hailed the good Bahraini-Sudanese relations, praising the advanced level of joint cooperation. He commended the efforts exerted by the Sudanese Ambassador to Bahrain in this regard.
