HRH Premier visits East Hidd housing project

Manama, May 9 (BNA): Within the framework of his field visits to follow up on progress of the development projects nationwide, His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa paid a visit today to East Hidd housing project, in Muharraq. He met a number of citizens there and listened to their needs regarding amenities and infrastructure development. He also listened to a briefing by Minister of Works, Municipality Affairs and Urban Planning Essam bin Abdullah Khalaf, Housing Minister Bassim bin Yaqoob Al Hamar and Muharraq Municipal Council Head and members on the citizens' needs in Hidd and progress of work on various services and development projects there.
HRH the Premier directed the ministries and relevant bodies to exert more efforts to speed up implementation of East Hidd housing project according to the highest quality standards. He also directed to follow up on the needs of the people in Hidd concerning services and amenities and solve problems immediately. He stressed the government’s keenness on boosting citizens’ welfare and catering for their needs. He underlined his personal interest in closely following up on citizens’ needs, describing their welfare and the national interests as top priority.
HRH the Prime Minister pointed out perpetual urban development in Hidd, urging to further optimise services provided for people there. He also underscored the need to complete the government projects in Muharraq, including East Hidd region, and provide all needed services facilities, including housing, health, education and infrastructure. He also emphasised Bahrain’s resolve to go ahead with its development projects nationwide according to a comprehensive vision aimed at improving services and boosting citizens’ welfare.
The Works, Municipality Affairs and Urban Planning Minister and the Housing Minister expressed heartfelt thanks and respect to HRH the Premier for the visit, stressing the ministries’ resolve to carry out his directives and cater for citizens’ needs and aspirations.
