HRH Premier: Yemen events a plot against Arab nation

Manama, Sept. 22 (BNA): Arab countries have paid tribute to the Kingdom of Bahrain for the crucial role it plays in championing Arab issues and supporting the right and justice.
They also backed Bahrain's efforts to defend its stances at international gatherings and highlight its advanced political and human rights strides within the framework of the government's keenness on promoting human rights from religious and national perspectives.
This came as His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa received at his palace in Riffa the heads of the diplomatic missions of some Arab countries, who lauded his wise leadership, constant keenness on unifying Arab stances, farsighted visions and realistic diagnosis of the Arab situation based on his wisdom and statesmanship.
Led by the Kuwaiti Ambassador and Head of the Diplomatic Corps Shaikh Azzam Mubarak Al Sabah, the delegation also included Ambassadors Shaikh Jassim bin Mohammed bin Saud Al Thani, of Qatar, Mohammed bin Youssef, of Tunisia, Kadri Al Sayeh, of Algeria, Fawzy El-Tahir Ahmed Abdul-A'ali, of Libya, and Taha Mohammed Abdulqader, of Palestine.
They also included the Chargé d'Affaires at the Yemeni Embassy in Bahrain Hassan Massoud Qahtan and the Chargé d'Affaires at the Lebanese Embassy Ibrahim El-Yes Assaf.
HRH the Prime Minister asserted that the Arab Nation is capable of defending its rights and protecting its interests whenever Arab countries put aside their differences and focus their efforts on stepping up joint action that maintains Arab interests and safeguards the region against foreign interference.
HRH Premier pointed out that despite efforts to make Arab countries focus mainly on their internal issues rather than Palestine, the first Arab issue, the Arab support to Palestine will never fade away or stop, and will remain the focus of all Arab efforts.
What is happening in Yemen today does not affect Yemen only, but it is part of a plot aimed at undermining the stability of Arab countries, in general, and subverting the security of the countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council, in particular, he said, stressing that blood was spilled in defence of Arab pride and dignity, as well as legitimacy and justice in Yemen.
The Kuwaiti Ambassador and Head of Diplomatic Corps extended, on behalf of Arab ambassadors, sincere thanks and appreciation to HRH Premier for the audience, and lauded his constant support to their efforts to enhance Bahrain's relations with Arab countries.
