HRH Prince Khalifa Award's panel meets school directors

Manama, Feb. 28 (BNA): The Evaluation Panel of Prime Minister HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa Award for Excellence in Educational Performance held a meeting with the directors of 15 participating schools. The schools have been selected after securing a "distinction" grade according to the National Authority for Qualifications and Quality Assurance in Education and Training (QAAET)'s standards in latest auditing of government schools performance before launching a series of assessment visits to the various schools on March 6. The panel's meeting with the directors of schools began with a familiarization about the award's overall frame focused on school leadership, teaching/learning processes, environment and activities. A detailed presentation was given regarding the evaluation standards in these aspects plus an overview of the award's educational objectives, identification of the extent of realization of the objectives of the Kingdom's educational policy, the points of strength and aspects that need further development in addition to stimulating the schools to advance the level of students' achievement.
