Ihsanoglu Keynote Speaker At Ninth US-Islamic World Forum

JEDDAH (Saudi Arabia), May 28 (Bernama) -- The Secretary-General of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu will be a keynote speaker at the ninth US-Islamic World Forum taking place in Doha, Qatar on Tuesday. In a statement, the Jeddah-based OIC secretariat said the organisation would also be hosting the welcome reception on Monday night. The annual US-Islamic World Forum, convened by the Brookings Institution in partnership with Qatar, is themed, "New Voices, New Directions". Featuring emerging leaders from across the Muslim world, the three-day forum will discuss political change in the Arab countries, as well as the leading forces inspiring and shaping cultural developments across the Muslim world. -- BERNAMA
