Imams condemn terror bombings

Manama, July 8 (BNA): Imams across the kingdom’s mosques have condemned in their Friday sermons the terrorist crimes that occurred near Prophet Mohammed’s Mosque in Madinah, in Qatif and in Jeddah. They asserted that such heinous crimes contravene the religious precepts, as well as human and moral values. They also focused on the conspiracies staged by the "enemies of the Nation" against Islam and Muslims, and lauded the measures taken by Saudi Arabia to combat the terrorist ideology in all its forms and manifestations. In this regard, the Imam of Al-Fateh Mosque in Manama, Shaikh Adnan bin Abdulla Al-Qattan said that the outrageous crimes that took place in Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Iraq and other Arab and Islamic countries and targeted public places, mosques, houses of worship, worshippers, security personnel and innocent civilians are heinous crimes that are alien to the cohesive Arab and Islamic societies in which Sunni and Shi’ite Muslims, as well as followers of other religions have lived together in peace throughout history. He affirmed that security is a blessing to which societies are looking forward, and for which governments and authorities in countries harnessed all their potentials. Imam of Ahmed bin Khalifa Al Dhahrani in Hidd, Shaikh Salah bin Mohammed Bu Hassan, also strongly deplored the recent terror blasts in Saudi Arabia, stressing that bombings and destruction are prohibited by the Islamic Religion and is considered a major sin. He affirmed that unity against the on-going plots and sedition is a religious necessity. Shaikh Ibrahim Al-Hadi, in Isa Town, also denounced the terror blast which targeted worshippers in the vicinity of Prophet Moohammed’s Mosque in Madinah, stressing that those who committed such crimes do not belong to the tolerant Islamic religion. He called on governments and peoples to rally together against such a deviant ideology and its followers who are seeking to wreak havoc on Earth. The imam of the Khalifa bin Moosa’s Mosque in Halat Bu Maher, Shaikh Isa bin Saleh Al Hassan also condemned the terrorist bombing in Madinah, noting that shedding the blood of Muslims and others without due right is strongly forbidden and sinful. Galali’s Al-Khair Mosque’s Imam, Shaikh Salah Al-Jowdar, denounced the terror attacks in Madinah, Qatif and Jeddah, and affirmed that such acts have no national or religious motives, but are politically motivated as they serve the agendas and interests of external enemies. He affirmed that Iran has incited terrorism, violence and killing in the region since 1979, noting that the four Arab countries in which Iran has been directly involved have become failing states as destruction, murder and displacement of people spread.
