IMSO 2016 to pay tribute to late King

INDONESIA, Nov 12 (TNA) -- Thai student representatives joined in a mass singing of the Royal Anthem at the 13th International Mathematics and Science Olympiad for Primary School or IMSO 2016 in Indonesia to pay their respect to His late Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej, during which the hosts and participants from 22 countries worldwide have a held a minute in silence in remembrance of the beloved monarch before last night's cultural performance. On the last night of the competition, during the participants' cultural show and before the announcement of the final results of the IMSO 2016 in Tangerang city of Banten province in Indonesia, held between November 9-13, the host of the event had prepared a ceremony to pay tribute to HM King Bhumibol. Advisor to the Office of the Basic Education Commission (OBEC) Pithan Phuenthong, the head of Thai team, as a representative of the Thai people addressed the gathering, honoured the revered monarch in English. The students, teachers, and participants from 22 countries around the world had also joined in with the ceremony, while the 33 Thai student representatives had participated in mass singing of the Royal Anthem in remembrance of the great King.
