Indonesia Promoting Tourism in Beograd

Jakarta, Feb 20 (Antara) - The Indonesian Embassy in Serbia in Beograd is promoting the tourism sector to the European people during the International Fair of Tourism (IFT) in the city. The largest tourism expo in Serbia and Southeast Europe is being held on February 19-22, 2015, the Indonesian Embassy stated in a press release received here on Thursday (Feb. 19). The expo is an annual event that has been organized for the past three decades. In 2014, the event attracted 62 thousand visitors and had the participation of 10,625 tourism companies. The Indonesian tourism booth themed, "Wonderful Indonesia" is promoting various national arts and culture, from Aceh to Papua provinces. During the expo, the Indonesian booth is also showcasing Indonesian tourism destinations, hospitality and lifestyle of Indonesian people, as well as Indonesia's biodiversity and its national development achievements. The Indonesian committee has also organized traditional dance and music performances by Indonesian artists to attract tourists. The Indonesian booth will also hold an Indonesian singing contest and a quiz on Indonesia and will also hand out free souvenirs to the participants.
