Indonesia Wins The Best Cultural Performance Award In Floriade Expo

London, Oct 9 (ANTARA) - Indonesia has received the Best Cultural Performance Pavilion award at the world`s biggest horticultural expo held in Floriade, The Netherlands, recently. Deputy Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Sapta Nirwandar and Indonesian Ambassador to The Netherlands Retno L.P. Marsudi on behalf of the Indonesian government received the award at the conclusion of the six-month expo on Sunday (Oct 7), the Indonesian Embassy in The Netherlands said in a press statement released on Monday. Indonesia was among 42 countries taking part in the expo held once every ten years. The next such expo will be held in AImere in 2022. During the six months of participation, the Indonesian pavilion displayed a number of arts and cultural activities and held business meetings. The embassy said the arts and cultural activities made the Indonesian pavilion one of the most-visited pavilions. Nearly 6,000-7,000 people visited the Indonesian pavilion everyday compared to the daily attendance at the expo which reached an average of 11,000, the embassy said. The business meetings were also taken part by representatives from a number of Indonesian provinces, including Central Kalimantan, South Kalimantan, East Kalimantan, Maluku and West Java.
