Industry Ministry recognises jewellery company hallmarking sign

Manama, Oct. 29 (BNA): The Minister of Industry, Commerce and Tourism issued a decree to recognize the official hallmarking signs of precious metals after meeting the conditions and regulations set up by the Directorate of Precious Metals & Gemstone Testing. The decision is within the framework of the pursuit of the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism to facilitate transactions and increase investment in the Kingdom of Bahrain. A letter from the ministry was submitted to the L'azurde Executive General Manager Nader Al Moayyed recognizing the hallmarking sign of L'azurde Jewellery Company as an official recognized hallmark in kingdom of Bahrain, after it met the conditions and regulations set up by the Directorate of Precious Metals & Gemstone Testing. The letter was submitted during a meeting between Undersecretary of Commerce Affairs Nader Al Moayyed and a delegation from L'azurde Jewellery headed by Executive General Manager Ayman Al Haffar. This step is considered a quantum leap in the application of control procedures and pursuits to achieve partnership between the ministry and the investors in this sector. It will open the door for other companies operating in the Kingdom of Bahrain to get this privilege and seek for the recognition of their hallmarking signs.
