Informatics and Electronic Government Authority launches 22 services

Manama, Mar.4 (BNA): The Informatics and Electronic Government Authority has added 22 online services to its national portal. It has also upgraded five cyber services adding advanced features in response to online users’ remarks. The Informatics and Electronic Government Authority announced that it would a bouquet of new services at the beginning of next month. The portal now provides nine services for Interior Ministry customs clearance, 13 haj-related services for the Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments. The new upgraded services include the payment of traffic fines, which were added to the renewal of licences, car registration and other online advantages. The travel ban service has been upgraded to be provided in English, among other updated services, including even queries about most adequate car fuel and astrological phenomena. The Informatics and Electronic Government Authority said that the values of financial transactions through the online portal and smartphone applications soared to BD35 million
