Information Minister hails Saudi Arabia's achievements, stances

Jeddah, Sep. 22 (BNA): Information Affairs Minister, Ali bin Mohammed Al-Romaihi, has lauded the landmark development and civilisational achievements of Saudi Arabia, under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. He also hailed Saudi Arabia's pioneering initiatives to cement GCC, Arab and Islamic fraternity, keenness to support the Arab Nation's progress, security and stability, and dedicated efforts in the service of Islam and Muslims. In a statement to the "Sharq Al-Awsat" newspaper marking Saudi Arabia's National Day, the minister expressed pride in the depth of the solid deep-rooted relations binding the two brotherly countries, noting that the Bahraini-Saudi ties are based on mutual love and respect, shared religion and history, common destiny and strong fraternal ties, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. Saudi Arabia's National Day is a dear occasion for all Arab and Muslim citizens on which they recall a milestone in the history of humanity, when Founder, King Abdulaziz bin Abdulrahman, led a great and honourable epic that culminated in the unification and establishment of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and in putting the first bricks for a modern and pivotal country in the Arab and Islamic worlds, he said. Al-Rumaihi affirmed that Saudi Arabia is the vital and strategic depth for Bahrain and GCC countries, highlighting the overwhelming GCC official and popular support to the wise vision of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud on enhancing joint GCC action and optimising the bloc's continuous landmark achievements since its establishment in 1971. The minister hailed Saudi Arabia's effective leadership of the Arab and Islamic coalition to reinforce security and stability, and support legitimacy in Yemen, keenness to safeguard the GCC and Arab security against external interference, confronting extremist terrorist organisations and endeavours to achieve joint Arab solidarity. The Information Affairs Minister highlighted Saudi Arabia's historic stances in supporting Arab countries' unity, stability and territorial integrity, championing just Arab causes, particularly the Palestinian cause, and backing efforts to reinforce regional and global peace and stability. He also stressed Saudi Arabia's remarkable initiatives to combat extremism and terrorism, and keenness to deliver relief aid to stricken people all over the world, in line with the social solidarity spirit stemming from the principles of the Islamic religion. Al-Rumaihi congratulated the Saudi leadership, government and people on their country's National Day which coincides with the success of the 2016 Haj season, praising Saudi Arabia's success in delivering the best services for Haj pilgrims.
