Information minister opens photo gallery

Manama, Mar. 8 (BNA): Information Affairs Minister and Board of Trustees Chairman of the Bahrain Institute for Political Development (BIPD), Ali bin Mohammed Al-Romaihi, has stressed that Bahrain is a pioneers and distinguished in human and civilised values, tolerance, cultural and intellectual openness, as well as in its continuous development, urban and democratic achievements during His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s prosperous era. This came as the minister patronised and opened today a photo gallery, themed "Faces from Bahrain" and organised by the National Georgraphic Foundation at Avenues Bahrain, in the presence of senior state officials, ambassadors, media persons and sponsoring companies. Al-Romaihi valued highly the initiative of the international foundation –National Georgraphic- to organise the 15-day event and to publish the photos in a documentary book which highlights Bahrain’s deep-rooted history, touristic and civilisational landmarks and contemporary achievements. While touring the gallery, the minister expressed admiration for the photos which tell the story of Bahrain’s heritage, deep-rooted history, historical towers, museums, as well as the manifestations of its economic, touristic, cultural and artistic renaissance, and Bahrainis’ good-heartedness and tolerance. Al-Rumaihi affirmed that the government appreciates and praises the contributions of international foundations and the private sector to promoting tourism in Bahrain, and highlighting its bright civilisational image.
