Information Minister receives ASBB delegation

Manama, Aug. 31 (BNA): Information Minister Ali bin Mohammed Al Romaihi praised the contributions of the financial and banking sector in Bahrain to the economic and social development. He also lauded the sector’s wide range of conventional and Islamic funding services during the prosperous era of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. The minister was speaking as he received a delegation from the executive management of Al Salam Bank-Bahrain (ASBB) led by board member and Chief Executive Yusef Abdullah Taqi. He praised development of the financial and banking institutions’ activities and their contribution to the Gross Domestic Product (GDP). Al Romaihi reviewed with the bank’s executive management ways of boosting cooperation to develop the information and telecommunication sector, commending the role of ASBB in upgrading the Islamic banking and financial services, serving the community and backing many economic, tourism, educational, health, media, cultural and sport activities.
