Information Minister receives GRTO Director-General

Manama, Aug. 29 (BNA): Information Affairs Minister, Ali bin Mohammed Al-Romaihi, has stressed the need to enance joint Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) media action, and to activate the role of the media in deepening the GCC identity, as well as the spirit of citizenship and tolerance GCC states. The minister was speaking as he received, here today, the Director-General of the Gulf Radio and TV Organisation (GRTO), Mujarry Mubarak Al Qahtani, with whom he discussed ways to enhance joint media cooperation and coordination with GRTO in the fields of radio and television training, as well as in the echange of expertise and information. Al Qahtani expressed thanks and appreciation to the minister for the warm welcome, as well as for his interest in consolidating joint media cooperation with GRTO, and constant keenness to activate the role of GCC media in preserving the cultural and civilisational identity of GCC countries.
