Inmates participate in Bahrain Grand Quran Competition

Manama, Apr. 19 (BNA): Under the patronage of Interior Ministry Undersecretary, Major-General Khalid Al-Absi, the General Directorate of Reformation and Rehabilitation continues to organise Bahrain Grand Quran Competition for male and female inmates at the Reformation and Rehabilitation Centres. The first round of the competition was held on Sunday and Monday at the centres with the participation of 134 inmates. The Undersecretary said that the competition is part of the directives of His Excellency Interior Minister to promote reformation and rehabilitation of inmates through various programmes and religious activities. He expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Islamic Affairs of the Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments for their cooperation in organising the competition.
