Manama, Nov. 21 (BNA): Under the patronage of Interior Minister, Ltieutenant-General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, the 12th professional development conference and exhibition of American Society of Safety Engineers' Middle East Chapter was held.

The event is considered as one of the leading conferences that tackle safety, environment, and occupational health in oil, gas and petrochemical industry in the region.

He said that the Interior Ministry has been dedicated to continue cooperation and coordination with the American Society of Safety Engineers dated back to the 5th conference held in February 2000. He also thanked the attendees and companies for their contributions to the exhibition that is held on the sideline of the conference to showcase general safety-related products and services.
