Interior Minister receives IPI President

Manama, Nov. 4 (BNA): Minister of Interior Lt-General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa received today President of the International Peace Institute (IPI) Terje Rød-Larsen. The meeting was also attended by Chief of Public Security Major-General Tariq Al Hassan and Director of the institute's Middle East and North Africa Department Nejib Friji. The Interior Minister welcomed the guest and praised the high-level development of the IPI in terms of research and studies, in addition to its involvement in reinforcing international peace. The Insititute's President thanked the Interior Minister for his support to studies and research organisations to pursue their scientific and cultural roles. (MOI)
