Interior Minister receives Russian parliamentary delegation

Manama, Sep. 15 (BNA): Interior Minister, General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, received here today a Russian parliamentary delegation, led by Member of the Committee on International Affairs, Evgenii Primakov. The meeting was also attended by Deputy Head of Foreign Affairs, Defence and National Security Committee of the Council of Representatives and members of the Bahrain-Russian Friendship Committee, Bader Al Dossairi and Chief of Public Security, Major-General Tariq Al Hassan. The minister welcomed the guests, hailing the strong ties between the two friendly countries. He briefed the delegations about the efforts of the Interior Ministry to protect the security and safety of the public. He also highlighted that the development plans as part of the principles of the reform projects of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa through an action plan to enhance police performance. He hailed joint dedication to promote bilateral security cooperation between the two states. The meeting discussed cooperation and coordination, common security topics and regional developments. The meeting also attended by Assistant Chief of Public Security for Operations and Training Affairs.
