Interior Minister receives US delegation

Manama, Nov. 22 (BNA): Interior Minister, General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa received today a delegation from the United States Department of State including Dr. Victoria Coates, the Deputy National Security Advisor for Middle East and North Africa Affairs, and Bureau of Conflict and Stabilization Operations Assistant Secretary Denise Natali. Bahrain Ambassador to Washington, Shaikh Abdullah bin Rashid Al Khalif, US Ambassador to Bahrain Justin Siberell and Chief of Public Security, Major-General Tariq Al Hassan attended the meeting. The Interior Minister hailed strong ties and strategic partnership between the two countries that contribute to promoting regional security and international peace. He highlighted the importance to continue cooperation and coordination, along with the exchange of expertise to tackle security challenges and regional and global changes. The meeting reviewed bilateral ties between the two friendly countries and reinforcement of security cooperation to serve both interests. The meeting was also attended by the General-Director of Media and Security Culture, Director of the Jointer Counter-terrorism Centre of the Interior Ministry and Security Attaché of Bahraini Embassy in the US.
