Interior Minister receives US official

Manama, Nov. 22 (BNA): Interior Minister, General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa received today Director of Geduld Programme on Arab Politics at the Washington Institute for Improving the Quality of US Middle East Policy, Barbara A. Leaf. Bahrain Ambassador to Washington, Shaikh Abdullah bin Rashid Al Khalifa and Chief of Public Security, Major-General Tariq Al Hassan attended the meeting. The Interior Minister hailed Barbara A. Leaf’s visit to Bahrain to take part in the Security Summit “Manama Dialogue” that commenced today evening to discuss key regional challenges. He hailed strong ties and strategic partnership between the two countries that contributed to promoting regional security and international peace. He also highlighted the importance to continue cooperation and coordination, along with the exchange of expertise to tackle security challenges and regional and global changes. Bilateral ties between the two friendly countries and reinforcement of security cooperation to serve both countries’ interests were also reviewed. (MOI)
