Interior Minister, UK Ambassador attend Police Music Performance

Manama, Apr 26 (BNA): Interior Minister Lt-General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa and British Ambassador to Bahrain, Simon Martin, today attended a joint police music performance at the Police Fort. The MOI police band and the band of British Royal Marines performed in the event that was also attended by Chief of Public Security, Major-General Tariq Al Hassan and Commander of the Police Band, Major-General Mibarak Al Najem. The performance marked the 200th anniversary of the beginning of the historical ties between Bahrain and UK. Interior Minister applauded the joint performance and their distinguished presence in international festivals and events. He highlighted the deep bilateral relations between the two countries and their dedication to promote security cooperation and coordination for the best of the citizens of the two nations. The band of British Royal Marines participated along with other military bands, including the MOI police band in the celebration to mark the anniversary of the formation of the Bahrain Defence Force in 2004.
