Interior Ministry officers attend workshop

Manama, Feb. 21 (BNA): A group of 122 Interior Ministry officers took part in a key workshop themed "Protecting the rights of violence victims". The Directorate of Officers' Affairs coordinated the event with the Judicial Studies Institute, an affiliate of the Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments Ministry, in addition to the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states. The workshop focused on victims' rights in compliance with international standards, the concept of justice and case studies of violence against women. The focus was also on dealing with children who suffer from post-violence trauma. Certificates were then distributed to the participants who appreciated the themes addressed in the workshop.
