Interior Ministry Undersecretary participates in UN road safety session

New York, July 1 (BNA): Interior Ministry Undersecretary Shaikh Nasser bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa has participated in a negotiation session on the sideline of a road safety meeting at the United Nations headquarters. The session reviewed various topics, including integration of road safety in sustainable development, speeding up the execution of the global plan to reduce accidents by 50%, and international capabilities building financing. The undersecretary thanked the participants for their efforts to meet road safety requirements, asserting the importance of continuing efforts to promote traffic safety worldwide. He said such meetings represent the dedication to promoting the exchange of expertise and information for active measures and appropriate solutions. He noted the efforts of Bahrain to achieve sustainability in all sectors as part of the economic vision 2030.
