Five main countries of destination for international flights from Bali included Australia, China, Singapore, Malaysia and Qatar.

The declines in the number of flights was a result of temporary closure of the Ngarah Rai airport following repeated eruptions of Mount Agung disrupting flight schedules.
A number of flights to Bali such as by Virgin Airlines, KLM, Jetstar Airways and Qantas Airways, also canceled flights to Bali in November, 2017 .
