Investment in smart buildings discussed

Manama, Sept. 1 (BNA): Electricity and Water Affairs Minister Dr. Abdul Hussain Mirza received a high-profile French delegation headed by member of the National Assembly of France, a member of the Union for Popular Movement and Secretary General of the Bahraini-French Friendship Society Jean-Luc Reitzer. He was accompanied by French company GA Smart Building Deputy General Manager Francois Mink and a number of company officials.
The visitors briefed the minister on their activities and their wish to invest in Bahrain and set up their new headquarters in the country. The company is engaged in designing smart buildings that use sophisticated technology and electrical systems that contribute to energy conservation.
Dr. Mirza praised the company’s projects and explained that the Electricity and Water Authority (EWA) encourages and welcomes investments that help improve energy efficiency and contribute to rationalization of consumption.
Mr. Reitzer and the other officials praised Bahrain’s development and investment projects, thanking Dr. Mirza for the welcome and hospitality and pledging to work towards enhancing cooperation between both sides.
Engineers Ahmed Ali Bashir and Saleh Kameshki from EWA were present.
