IPU President Promises Effort for Improved Inter-Korean Relations

Pyongyang, October 26 (KCNA) -- Gabriela Cuevas Barron, president of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU), said that she would strive for the improvement of inter-Korean relations. In a recent statement, she welcomed the affirmative events witnessed on the Korean peninsula in the wake of the historic inter-Korean summits and the Singapore DPRK-U.S. summit, and appreciated that the north and the south of Korea are promoting the reconciliation and understanding of each other. The IPU has directed a lot of efforts to the contacts between the north and the south and such effort will continue in the future, too, she said. -0-
