Iran-Turkey News Agencies Top Officials Meet In Tokyo

Tokyo, Dec 1, IRNA – Deputy Managing Director of the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) Gholam-Hossein Eslamifard and Managing Director of Turkey's Anatoly (Anadolu) News Agency Kamal Uzturk met in Tokyo on Friday on the sidelines of the 34th OANA BEM. Turkey's Anatoly news agency is also rotating head of the Organization of Asia-Pacific News Agencies (OANA). Eslamifard said that in the OANA board executive meeting the two sides discussed ways of further expansion of mutual cooperation. 'We should cooperate and have closer ties in order to confront the Western media's one-sided propaganda against the Muslim World,' IRNA deputy chief said. Uzturk , for his part, said that Tehran and Ankara have close relations. He said that exchange of high-ranking delegations between the two countries to discuss regional issues is very important.
