Iranian cartoonist Derambakhsh to display works in Paris

TEHRAN,Nov. 20 (MNA) -- Renowned Iranian cartoonist Kambiz Derambakhsh will be displaying a selection of his works at the Nicolas Flamel Gallery in Paris opening on December 5. He will be showcasing a collection of 40 works selected from his best series of deigns and mind games. Mind games is a collection, which includes collages, designs, paintings and carpentry artworks created with special techniques, the artist has once said. Derambakhsh also said that he is planning to hold an exhibition of his cartoons with the central theme of music in Tehran’s Seyhun Gallery in February. Known for his talent to find obscure themes for his creations, Derambakhsh has worked as a cartoonist, a graphic designer, and an illustrator for about 50 years. Many art and cultural centers including the Wilhelm Busch Museum and the Oberhausen Castle in Germany, the Caricature & Cartoon Museum Basel (Switzerland), the Gabrovo House of Humor & Satire (Bulgaria), and the Vienna International Airport have so far hosted exhibitions of his works over the past four decades.
