Iranian drama “Angels” catches Golden Butterflies at Isfahan filmfest

TEHRAN,Nov. 20 (MNA) -- The Iranian drama “Salute to Angels” was picked as Best Film and scooped up other awards at the 25th Isfahan International Film Festival for Children and Young Adults. The winners were awarded with Golden Butterflies during a ceremony attended by jury members Giti Khameneh, Rasul Sadr-e Ameli, and Gholamreza Ramezani and Jamal Shurjeh at the Narges Hall in Isfahan. Yasamin Noruzi won the Best Child Actress Award for her role in “Salute to Angels” and the Best Screenplay Award went to director-screen writer Farzad Ajadri for the film. The debut film by Farzad Ajadari, “Salute to Angels” is about a little girl named Shadi who tries her best to survive with her patient grandmother. Alireza Khamseh, Shamsi Fazlollahi, Kimia Hosseini and Mah-Chehreh Khalili starred at the film. Tarlan Parvaneh won the Best Young Adult Actress award for her role in Seyyed Javad Hashemi’s “White-Forehead Deer”. Best Child Actor Award of the festival went to Payam Eris for his role in “Wind and Fog” by Mohammad-Ali Talebi. Ali Shademan won the Best Young Adult Award for his role in “Cinema Dream” by Ali Shah-Hatami by Hamid Shah-Hatami. Shah-Hatami brothers also won the Best Director Award for the film. The festival was held from November 14 to 18 in Isfahan.
