Iranian parliamentary delegation off to Syria

Tehran, Aug 31, IRNA - An Iranian parliamentary delegation left Tehran for the Syrian capital, Damascus, on Saturday to examine the latest developments in the crisis-hit Arab country and hold talks with Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, a lawmaker said. Speaking to IRNA, a member of National Security and Foreign Policy Commission of Majlis Mansour Haqiqatpour stressed that the delegation is scheduled to meet with Syrian officials to find a way out of the current crisis in the country. The delegation will also visit Lebanon to discuss the ongoing Syrian crisis with senior officials of that country, he noted.
