Iranian troupe to perform “Moses and the Shepherd” tazieh in Paris

TEHRAN,Nov. 30 (MNA) -- Iranian director Hossein Mosafer Astaneh plans to stage a tale from Rumi’s Masnavi in the form of tazieh (Iranian passion play) in Paris on January 12, 2012. “Lyrics of Blasphemy”, an adaptation of “Moses and the Shepherd” by Persian mystic and poet Molana Jalal ad-Din Rumi (1207-1273) will go on stage for three nights, Mosafer Astaneh told on Tuesday. The story has been dramatized by Amir Dejakam. The play is assumed to be a modern tazieh and is expected to go on stage in Germany and the Netherlands, the director added. Mehran Imambakhsh, Saedi Daakh, Nader Rajapur, Behzad Javdanfar, Mojdeh Saei, Elnaz Tarikhi and Mohsen Gudarzi are among the actors in the cast of the play. Composer Saeid Zehni and choreographer Nader Rajabpur are also collaborating in this project.
