Irish Prime Minister receives Emirates Heritage Club sailing team

Galway - July 9, 2012 (WAM) - Irish Prime Minister Enda Kennedy received the Emirates Heritage Club's sailing team who is participating in the activities of "The Maritime Heritage Cultural Exchange" between the club and the Irish city of Galway during the last stage of the Volvo Ocean Race. Also present was UAE Ambassador to the Republic of Ireland Khalid Nasser Rashid Lootah. During the meeting, Kennedy emphasised the importance of Emirates Heritage Club's participation in this celebration hailing the efforts of UAE's delegation in giving a good image for the maritime heritage of the state. For his part, Saeed al Qubaisi, head of UAE's delegation said that this participation comes in implementation of the directives of H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President's Representative and Chairman of the Emirates Heritage Club and the follow up of H.H. Dr. Sheikh Hazza bin Sultan bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, to emphasise the importance of cultural and heritage exchange along with achieving a kind of cultural convergence between the people. – Emirates News Agency, WAM
