ISESCO Virtual Extraordinary Conference of Ministers of Culture Concluded

Rabat, June 17, 2020, SPA -- Ministers of Culture and Heritage of the member countries of Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO), vowed at the end of the extraordinary and virtual conference, to enhance the knowledge of culture of the next generations to face future challenges and support the digital culture and awareness of the importance of cultural heritage. The members of the extraordinary and virtual conference in the final communique read by the Director General of ISESCO Dr. Salim Al-Malik renewed their support for ISESCO vision based on the preservation, protection, support and rehabilitation of the cultural and civilizational heritage of the Islamic world to preserve the cultural identity of the Islamic world. The communique pointed out the importance of the Digital Cultural Strategic Project, presented by ISESCO as a proactive initiative to manage cultural affairs at this period, and as a sustainable forward-looking program for future cultural work. The communique indicated the need to promote development of cultural tourism and the integration of the cultural and sports sectors in human building through the development of a system of integrated programs for the benefit of different community groups. In conclusion, members of the extraordinary and virtual conference praised the initiative of ISESCO Digital House and describe it as educational and scientific knowledge platform. --SPA
