Istanbul court gives Yasin Hayal a sentence of life in prison for "planned killing of Agos Newspaper's Editor-in-Chief Hrant Dink".

ISTANBUL (A.A) - An Istanbul court on Tuesday sentenced a man to life in prison in the killing of a Turkish-Armenian journalist five years ago. Istanbul's 14th Criminal Court found Yasin Hayal guilty for instigating the killing of Hrant Dink, editor-in-chief of Agos, a bilingual Turkish-Armenian weekly, and sentenced him to "aggravated life imprisonment."  Hayal and all other suspects including Erhan Tuncel were acquitted of acting on orders from a terrorist organization while the court sentenced Tuncel to ten years and a half behind bars in a case on bombing of a McDonalds restaurant in the Black Sea port city of Trabzon. Dink's murderer, Ogun Samast, was sentenced in July to nearly 23 year in prison.
