It is never too late to learn: Iran’s oldest female student
TEHRAN, Dec. 11 (MNA) – An Iranian woman of 65 has decided to continue her studies at university, saying you are never too old to learn.
Alaviyeh Robabeh Mojtahed Najafi, now Iran’s oldest student, is studying village management engineering at a center of Payame Noor University in the town of Rey, which is located just south of Tehran.
She got her high school diploma at the age of 20 and was conferred a pre-university degree when she was 50 years of age.
Alaviyeh Robabeh got the chance to enter university thanks to her knowledge-seeking spirit and the assistance of her two daughters, who are a physician and an electrical engineer.
Iran’s oldest student said she wanted to go to university because knowledge benefits everyone and she is passionate to learn new things.
Great people have always pursued higher education, she added.
Alaviyeh Robabeh said she is keen to serve the country, and she has not found studying difficult and understands whatever is taught to her.
She also said that she studies for two hours every night because she spends all day doing the housework.
