Japanese Assistant Foreign Minister receives Bahraini ambassador to Tokyo

Tokyo, Sept. 18 (BNA): The Japanese Assistant Foreign Minister, Katsuhiko Takahashi, received Bahrain’s Ambassador to Japan, Ahmed Mohammed Al Dossari. Ambassador Al Dossari handed an invitation from the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, in which he welcomes his Japanese counterpart,Toshimitsu Motegi, to participate in the 15th edition of the Regional Security Conference `` Manama Dialogue '', set to be held in Manama on November 22- 24. Takahashi stressed the importance of "Manama Dialogue" in discussing current major challenges in the fields of defense, foreign policy and security in the Middle East. He said it provides an opportunity for participants from all over the world to present their countries’ policies towards the region and constitutes a platform for exchange of views and bilateral meetings to help address regional problems, reiterating Japan's keen interest to continue attending this conference at the highest levels. The two sides underlined the depth of the friendly relations between Bahrain and Japan and their cooperation and coordination at all levels. They also discussed a number of regional and global issues of common concern.
