Japanese embassy presents donation to Children and Mothers Welfare Society

Manama, Apr. 22 (BNA): Masako Araike, the wife of Deputy Chief of Mission at the Japanese embassy, donated to Shaikha Hind bint Salman Al Khalifa, President of the Children and Mothers Welfare Society, the proceeds from the Japanese booth at the Annual Embassies Bazaar 2019. The bazaar is organised annually by the society and comes this year under the theme "My Country’s Wedding". "In the Embassies Bazaar, we want to expose the cultural and civilisational aspect of the customs and traditions of the participating countries to the visitors,” Shaikha Hind said. “The proceeds of the bazaar are always allocated to charitable organisations, so this year we are going to build a kindergarten and nursery in the name of the late Shaikha Lulwa bint Mohammed Al Khalifa, and we will start the project by the end of this year.” "We are very honoured to join the bazaar and make a donation to your society. We would like to contribute more for next year. I hope to maintain a good relationship as always," Masako Araike said. The Japanese booth at the bazaar provided Japanese traditional goods such as accessories and tableware and acquired a favorable reputation from participants. Bahrain and Japan’s relationship has been witnessing further enhancement through mutual visits by leaders and ministers of both countries and cultural cooperation.
