Jeenbekov’s congratulations on occasion of UAE National Day

Bishkek, Dec.2, 2019. /Kabar/. Today, Dec.2 President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbay Jeenbekov congratulated President of the United Arab Emirates Khalifa bin Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan on the UAE National Day, his press service said. “On behalf of the people of the Kyrgyz Republic and on my own behalf, I congratulate the people of the United Arab Emirates on the UAE National Day. I am confident that thanks to joint efforts the friendly relations between the two countries will continue to strengthen for the sake of the interests of our peoples," the congratulatory telegram reads. President Sooronbay Jeenbekov wished UAE President Khalifa bin Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan strong health, welfare and success in his activities, and wished the people of the UAE peace and prosperity. National Day is celebrated on 2 December each year in the United Arab Emirates. It marks the UAE's Union Day between the six emirates which was followed by the joining of the seventh emirate, Ras Al Khaimah, in 1972. The National day of UAE stands for the nationalisation from the British Protectorate Treaties which were declared in 1968 and also falls on the anniversary of the federal unification of the seven emirates in 1971 which combined to form the modern-day country, headed by Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the federation's first president. Grand celebrations are held across the country to mark the event.
