Jeenbekov familiarizes with main directions of budget policy for 2020

Bishkek, Jan.10, 2020./Kabar/. Yesterday, Jan.9 President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sooronbay Jeenbekov received Minister of Finance of the country Baktygul Jeenbayeva, his press service said. Jeenbekov got acquainted with preliminary results on execution of the national budget for 2019, and main directions and parameters of the budget policy for 2020. Finance Minister Baktygul Jeenbayeva said in January-December 2019, revenues from the State Customs Service amounted to KGS 43 billion 296.3 million, which is KGS 1 billion 624.4 million more than in 2018. Revenues from the State Tax Service totaled KGS 62 billion 632.8 million, which is KGS 567.8 million more than in 2018. The volume of official transfers in 2019 made KGS 13 billion 275.4 million, and increased by KGS 4 billion 59.3 million compared to 2018. The minister noted that in 2020, the total volume of revenues of the republican budget is planned at KGS 163 billion 710.4 million. Information was also provided on the work being done to manage the state's public debt. The President reminded the National Development Strategy of the country defines a number of priority projects. In addition, sufficient funds are required to implement strategic tasks and activities within the framework of the Year of Regional Development, Digitalization of the Country and Support for Children, judicial and legal reform. At the same time, he noted the need for the steady fulfillment of social obligations on the part of the state, strict control over the efficiency of revenue and expenditure parts of the budget. Jeenbekov emphasized the main directions of the country's budget policy must be oriented to concrete results.
