Jeenbekov: It is important to maintain epidemiological safety at economic facilities where activities will be resumed

Bishkek, Apr. 28, 2020. /Kabar/. "It is very important to maintain sanitary-epidemiological safety at economic facilities, where the activity will be resumed. Close cooperation between the Local authorities, the Health Ministry and the State Inspectorate for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Security need to cooperate closely in this direction. Managers of the enterprises will have a special responsibility," Kyrgyz President Sooronbay Jeenbekov said at a meeting of the Security Council on Apr. 28. At the Security Council meeting, First Deputy Prime Minister and Deputy Head of the Republican Headquarters for Preventing Import and Further Spread of Coronavirus Infection Kubatbek Boronov proposed a step-by-step resumption of business entities’ activities under conditions of emergency and state of emergency, the Kyrgyz President’s press service said. The plan for the resumption of the activities of economic entities during a state of emergency, as noted, will specify a concrete list of facilities, the number of their employees, working hours and ways of transporting employees to their workplaces. However, some restrictions will remain unchanged. "For example, the ban on cultural events and celebrations will remain in force. Universities and schools will continue their distance learning activities. Sanitary and quarantine posts established at the entrances/exits in the territories where the state of emergency was declared will continue to function," said the Kyrgyz President. At the same time, due to the resumption of economic activity, the number of checkpoints will be reduced. A ban on foreign citizens' entry into the country also remains in force. On Apr. 28 President Sooronbay Jeenbekov chaired a meeting of the country's Security Council. The Security Council of the Kyrgyz Republic in a narrow composition with the participation of the leaders of certain state bodies, the Bishkek mayor, considered the issue of further measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus infection in the country and the resumption of socio-economic activity in the republic. Also, at the meeting it became known that the state of emergency will be extended in the cities of Bishkek, Osh, Dzhalal-Abad and At-Bashi region of Naryn Oblast. Earlier, a state of emergency was introduced in Bishkek, Osh, Dzhalal-Abad cities, Nookat and Kara-Suu regions of Osh Oblast and Suzak region of Dzhalal-Abad Oblast from March 25 and till Apr. 15, 2020. On the territory of the city of Naryn and At-Bashi region of Naryn Oblast, a state of emergency was introduced on Apr. 15, 2020.
