Jeenbekov meets with Director General of Zayed Foundation

Bishkek, Dec.12, 2019. /Kabar/. Within the framework of the official visit to the UAE, President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sooronbay Jeenbekov met with Director General of the Zayed Foundation Hamad Salem bin Kardous Al Ameri. The sides exchanged views on the prospects of cooperation in the implementation of joint projects, the Kyrgyz President’s press service said. Jeenbekov, noting with satisfaction the participation of the Zayed Foundation in the implementation of projects in Kyrgyzstan to provide the population with clean water, expressed gratitude for the cooperation in this area. He stressed Kyrgyzstan is a country of clean water, but at the same time more than 600 villages in the regions do not have access to it. Jeenbekov emphasized the population's access to clean drinking water is under his personal control, as it affects the health of the Kyrgyz people, the development of the economy and tourism in the country. The Kyrgyz leader spoke about the work to develop the regions of Kyrgyzstan and improve regional infrastructure. He noted the country's regions are in dire need of construction and renovation of social and educational facilities, expansion of irrigation networks, and called for active cooperation in these areas. Director General of the Zayed Foundation Hamad Salem bin Kardous Al Ameri stressed the Foundation operates in accordance with the policy pursued by the UAE leadership. He noted the launch of the projects takes a lot of time, but the issues with the implementation of projects in Kyrgyzstan are solved promptly. Hamad Salem bin Kardous Al Ameri assured all the proposals voiced by the Kyrgyz side will be considered. He expressed interest in the development of comprehensive cooperation, including the implementation of charitable projects. The Foundations’ director general added with satisfaction that the interest of the Kyrgyz side in expanding cooperation is very important in the implementation of joint projects. The Zayed Foundation is not-for-profits, non-governmental charity organization established pursuant to Law No. (5) of 1992 by its founder late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. Late Sheikh Zayed created an endowment of one billion US dollars for the Foundation to direct all Foundation’s revenues towards charity and humanitarian projects within and outside UAE.
